Our own Link Hoewing serves up some good data as one of my first victims subjects for something I’m calling PolicyBlogTV. He previews some of the points he’ll make on a Free State Foundation panel this Friday entitled, "Broadband Nation: Where Does the U.S. Really Stand in the World Rankings?"

If you can’t make it there, here’s a short preview of Link’s remarks and why we feel the US broadband market is both healthy and competitive.

Why are you not parading your xPON pizazz by delivering this via a FIOS portal in x264 glory? re: broadband video FCC: DOC-289893A1.pdf "The Supplemental NOI establishes ... June 20, 2009 ... as the deadlines for filing comments... For 2009 data, comments are due July 29, 2009 and reply comments on August 28, 2009" I wager you'll discover people want media flexibility and are none too pleased with any mode of Digital Rights "Management" (cablecard 5C, HDCP, et al) inflicted on their inter-room home use.
