Since PolicyBlog is supposed to be about, well, policy, we think it makes some sense to launch a new blog devoted to Verizon products and services like FiOS called “Verizon at Home” and I invite you to take a look.

And, yes, we look forward to hearing your ideas for how we can make things better as well as letting you know about the latest things going on here.

This morning, we have details on Verizon FiOS TV Widget Bazaar which (for now) includes Widgets for Facebook and Twitter as well as ESPN Fantasy Football, but with a lot more to come.  We also announced this morning that we are enabling Internet video directly to the big screen in your entertainment center.   Hope you find the Verizon at Home blog useful.

I looked at the home blog, interesting development but I did see a link to the verizon twitter page. There are a lot of followeres but no identity, no updates.I presume you have followed Comcast twitter forays, what is Verizon planning to do with Twitter? You also say it is a peer to peer blog but how o you intend to build that lead user initiative? I see social media as a game changer but it does take work time, I would love to hear Verizon persepctive/vision.

Can i have a straight answer about a time frame on when to expect msg hd on fios. I have been told by verizon reps for over a year and a half it would be soon. After all the messes with the billing, i find it really hard to trust anything i hear. Can someone please stop beating around the bush and let fios customers know what is really going on. I never would have left Time Warner if I thought it would be years till i got msg hd. I am a huge hockey fan, with a nice big hd tv and a crappy SD feed. I want answers.

Eric, We've had radio silence from you since August of 2009 on the issue of the Cabelvision program access complaint (http://policyblog.verizon.com/BlogPost/642/VerizonAsksFCCtoRuleonMSGHDChannels.aspx). Any update you can provide as to Verizon's course of action now that the order was issued by the FCC on 1/20, and upheld in Federal Court on 3/12? As stated in the news release accompanying the order, "The Order does not decide [existing] complaints but describes how they can be handled going forward. It provides that complainants may continue to pursue their complaints as filed. If, instead, a complainant wants a currently pending complaint to be considered under the new rules, it may submit a supplemental filing alleging that the defendant has engaged in an unfair act after the effective date of the rules." Will Verizon be submitting a new complaint or continuing to pursue the complaint filed July 7, 2009. Inquiring minds want to know... we want MSG in HD just in time for the Knicks and Rangers to not be participating in the playoffs... :) Thanks!
