Yikes! The Associated Press is reporting on a second case of a Verizon technician hitting a home electrical wire during work to install our FiOS service. It happened at the home of reporter John Wilen in Pennsylvania not long ago. As we always do when accidents like this happen, we have paid for repairs and apologized to the Wilen family. The good news is that Wilen loves his FiOS service…now that it is up and working. As a friend wrote to me earlier, “If he had this sort of problem when it was installed, and still likes FiOS this much, it must be a great service!”
It is, but we’re still very sorry for the problem getting FiOS up and running at the Wilen home.
