Comparing our ad to Time Warner’s is a real stretch.  (Links to BroadbandReports.com coverage appear to be down, will insert as soon as it's up. CZ)

Let’s look at the facts:

The CNET News article that we quoted was very positive about FiOS TV.  It wasn’t a ‘review,’ still a fair reading of the CNET piece is that Verizon knew we had to provide near-flawless TV (and we did).   In any case, since David Katzmaier raised this point, we’ve agreed to not use the “near-flawless” claim after this ad finishes its run in mid-May.  Of course, we’d welcome (as would  CNET readers) a review of FiOS TV by CNET and hope to see one sometime in the future.  Others have compared FiOS TV to cable and like what they see.

Time Warner’s ad, on the other hand, asserts that you need a satellite dish to receive FiOS TV, and that is a blatant falsehood.  But, still, Time Warner has refused to stop running the ad.  Time Warner’s ad focuses on pure fiction in what we assume is a lame attempt at humor.
